Crystal Lightning

Wrap up project for my final semester at Ringling College, this was created over a 3 week period. I wanted to try to make something that would be new to me so I decided to make a crystal and glass material network in Unreal. Plus learning how to make lightning from After Effects was a blast. Then getting a flipbook material set up for the lightning. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and created this piece that I've had brewing as an idea for a while.

The lightning crystal was sculpted in Zbrush, retopod and baked in Maya. The crystal and glass textures were created in Substance Designer and substance painter for some dirt masks. I also created the terracota tiles on the floor for my team thesis ,Oasis.
